Every three years, the breathtaking grounds of Worcester College, Oxford play host to an experience unlike any other.

However, in light of the COVID-19 outbreak, the Ball Committee together with College have made the difficult decision not to go ahead with the Worcester College Commemoration Ball 2020.

This is a decision we hoped we wouldn’t have to make, but the health and safety of our guests and suppliers has to be our top priority. Whilst we hope to be able to reschedule to a date in Summer 2021, we have taken the decision to cancel and fully refund all tickets for this Summer’s ball..

Guests should expect to receive their refund in the next 10 working days.

The committee would like to thank you all again for your patience through this process.

SolidariTEE x What's a pound?

What difference would an extra £1 make to the price of your ball ticket this year? Thousands of students a year attend balls and university events, if every attendee were to donate £1 to charity then huge amounts could be raised for some amazing causes. This year Worcester College Commemoration Ball invites you to add a modest optional £1 donation to your ticket price so that this incredible night can benefit others too.

The recipient of this year's "What's a pound?" scheme is SolidariTee, an entirely student-led charity that raises awareness about the refugee crisis and offers grants to organisations and individuals working in the sector. The asylum procedure is notoriously arduous and complicated, so SolidariTee choose to fund lawyers and legal advisers to tackle this humanitarian crisis in a sustainable and empowering way, allowing asylum seekers to leave the interminable legal limbo of refugee camps and start their new lives. All profits from the sale each beautifully designed t-shirt go towards funding their admirable cause.

To find out more about SolidariTee follow them on social media, and keep your eyes peeled on the Worcester College Commemoration Ball Facebook page for competitions and giveaways!
